Kenneth Tanaka’s Canon G9 Review

Posted by David Chin on September 20th, 2007 in Canon G9 Reviews

I just love reading reviews like this - delivers the low-down, straight to the point without over-reliance on spec sheets and technical data.

Ken’s review basically concludes that the G9 is an “… exceptional little camera … “, but you’d be missing a lot if you just focused on the conclusion.

No, Ken’s gone out of the way to show the power of using Noise Ninja’s magic on an ISO 1600 shot, gave feedback on the video capability of the G9 and even shows a picture of the G7 vs G9 side-by-side - you just cannot ignore that large, 3.0-inch LCD on the back of the G9.

And yeah, you’d better get to his site quick and download the G9 RAW file (use this link since the one at his site has expired - Ken’s already given me permission to re-host the file) he’s so generously made available via the yousendit.com service, because it’s only limited to the first hundred people (I’ve already got it, and boy, the detail is super :-) ).

Thanks Ken - your piece is very much appreciated!
